This picture was taken in 1954 and is looking south across the airport. There are some major changes from the 1950 photo to this one. The biggest is that Runway 14-32 was extended and New Highway was relocated to make the bend around the south part of the airport.  Also, the third runway is now closed. Note the planes parked on the former runway on the right side of the photo and the large ‘X’ painted in the center of the runway in the middle of the photo.

The runways now have markings painted on them and the runway information is also shown as you can see by the 14 painted on the runway in the right side of the photo.

The factories are operating at a high rate as can be seen by the full parking lots.
