ANNUAL NOTICE OF INTENT TO LEASE PROPERTY AT REPUBLIC AIRPORT IN FARMINGDALE

The State of New York, New York State of Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) owns and operates Republic Airport, a general aviation airport located in East Farmingdale on Long Island. There are several developed properties located at Republic Airport that are or will be available for leasing opportunities in 2011. NYSDOT herby notified all potential tenants that they may express interest in rental opportunities at Republic Airport by contacting the Airport Manager by mail at 7150 Republic Airport, Room 216, East Farmingdale, NY 11735 or online at slarose@republicairport.net or info@republicairport.net

Leases are issued for specific property at the airport for a fixed rental price for a term of at least two 2 years (Firm Term Lease). Potential tenant’s interested in leasing property for one year or less will be offered a Permit. The type of space that is or may become available at Republic Airport varies in size and class including Classes A, B and C Office Space, and Light Industrial. Typical uses have included hangar space, classroom educational uses, commercial, parking or other specialized space. The services provided for lease space vary from one property to another. Some uses may be prohibited by Airport Regulation. Payments in lieu of taxes are imposed for non aviation properties. All properties are subject to FMV rent and regular CPI increases. 

NYSDOT is entrusted with managing the entirety of this asset in a way that maximizes the public benefits as cost effectively as possible.  This responsibility for management and efficient stewardship includes ensuring proper utilization, maintenance, preservation, and protection of the real estate assets, acting judiciously to increase the holding as necessary to meet increased needs for services to the public and acting prudently to decrease assets when they are no longer needed.

Prospective tenants are invited to contact Republic Airport about the rental opportunities that are or may become available. Preferences are afforded to uses that are consistent with aviation activities and that promote economic activity NYSDOT reserves the right to decline to solicit for any space that may become available without need for prior notice.
